Remote-Desktop

Remote-desktop is the term we use to describe remote access to research data with a (e.g. own) computer. Via a "virtual desktop" and an encrypted connection (VPN) you can access a DZHW server for microdata within a controlled environment (independent of the operating system/ without software installation). On this server the common evaluation programs Stata, SPSS and R (or MAXQDA for qualitative data) are already installed for you. In addition to a valid data usage contract, this data access requires internet access and a current browser.
